ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI)

Our topic covers about how the artificial intelligence (AI) assists with our daily life activities in the way of media and social content.

Throughout our interests and thoughts, we have discussed the artificial intelligence (AI) in three different perspectives – Google Home, a personal digital assistant and the car brand “Tesla”. Nowadays, the progress of science and technology has changed the way we live and the way we communicate with other people. From the past, we used face to face communication to chat with each other. The face-to-face communication enhances and enriches our interpersonal skills, such as the body language, builds up our confidences, interaction with the robotic relationship and the facial expressions. As civilization has advanced, the artificial intelligence (AI) has replaced the verbal chat. The technological advances bring the interpersonal positive and negative impact on interpersonal. We are quite interested in this topic because technology has changed the way and the AI applications are popular.

Artificial Intelligence is a modern technological development. The application of itself is wide in different areas, such as education, conversation, and video image detection, and so on. Nowadays, AI relatives and influence in human relationship. An intelligent personal assistant is one of the domains of Artificial Intelligence. Siri and Google home have been popular using social connect area. Besides, AI has extended to the automotive industry. Tesla is in the leading position in the automotive industry using AI technology for providing users with a new driving experience.

In our case studies, we are all focusing on artificial intelligence. Each of us focuses on different kind of products that related to artificial intelligence, such as, Google Home, Tesla Autopilot, Siri and Elli Q. All these kinds of products are changing the communication way between people and also the relationship between us. It is no doubt to say that Artificial Intelligence is an excellent invent, it benefits us and our world. It makes everything become convenient. We believe that it does have advantages and disadvantages to us. It depends on how we apply this technology in different fields. So, do you think AI can affect human relationships in a positive way or negative way?

For this image, it introduces the different types of Artificial Intelligence in 2018. We can see there are two different kinds of AI. The first type is the Narrow AI, including Apple Siri, Amazon Alexa and different kind of chatbots. Those kinds of AI are doing basic rote task style, helping human to finish the basic task. The second type is the Deep AI. Those kinds of AI are developed to continually learning. It also helps writing different codes to train and adjust another AI.
